Former Washington Bullets center Gheorghe Mureșan, has recently listed his home in Potomac, MD for $2,250,000

This fully renovated home sits on 5 acres of land in the heart of Potomac, MD and is currently up for sale by none other than Gheorghe Mureșan. A familiar name to many basketball fans, Gheorghe Mureșan played in the NBA from 1993 to 2000. The Romanian basketball player reaches 7 feet and 7 inches in height, making him one of the two tallest basketball players in NBA history.

Known for many other things aside from his basketball career, Gheorghe has dabbled in acting as he appeared in the 1998 film, My Giant, starring comedian Billy Crystal. He has also appeared as a ventriloquist in Eminem’s music video for “My Name Is,” as well as in commercials for Snickers candy bars and sports television network ESPN. His most recent work includes co-authoring two young adult fitness and health books: The Boy’s Fitness Guide and The Girl’s Fitness Guide.

The 10,000+ Square Foot custom home is located only 1 mile from Potomac Village and boasts a 50+ Ft Kitchen, a spa-like master bath, and a light-filled lower level with open plan and high ceilings that walks out to the pool.

Q. What attracted you guys to Potomac, and what has your time in the area meant to you?

A: Some of the things that attracted us to the area are the great schools, safe neighborhoods and sense of community. We also enjoy that we can be close to everything, while at the same time having a great deal of privacy.

Q: What are some of your family’s favorite spots in Potomac?

A: We love being so close to the Village. We are always at Starbucks in the morning for coffee, meeting friends for lunch at Hunter’s Inn, or having brunch at Normandie Farm on Sundays after church or a basketball game. The boys like to walk in the Village when they have friends over either to grab a bite to eat or hang out for ice cream at Sprinkles.

Q. What are some of your favorite features of your home?

A: We spend most of the time in the kitchen, but we love the big space in the family room where we all watch movies or sports together. The boys use the basement all the time when they have friends over. Our absolute favorite feature of our house is the backyard; waking up every morning to the sounds of birds chirping and the peacefulness of the woods. In the summer we love to spend time around the pool and eat outside.
