McLean Custom Home Sells for $12.5 Million
Inspired by France’s Chateau de Chambord, 801 Turkey Run Road was built in McLean, VA on over 2 acres in 2013. The 15,000 square foot home was customized from start to finish and captures touches of classic architecture throughout.
The remarkable custom was sold for $12.5 million on July 20th by the father-daughter real estate duo Mike and Ashley Anastasia of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. The listing first came on the market two years ago and was taken off the market last October. In February, Mike Anastasia sensed the administrative changes in government would provide for opportune timing to place the listing back on the market so he reached out to the owners. The listing was back on in March.
According to Mike Anastasia, “This is the probably the most beautiful home I’ve seen on the inside.” As amazing as the property looks on the outside, the best features of this home is the build out of the interior. The listing was finely detailed in every inch of the the home. The builders went into great depth to incorporate the touches from France, they even painted all the trim and woodwork by melting the paint to get the perfect smooth textured.
After being back on the market for less than 4 months, Mike and Ashley Anastasia were able to sell the Turkey Run listing $3 million higher than the original price from two years ago. This sale was the highest non-riverfront transaction in Northern Virginia.
With Washington being the capital city of America, a lot of economic changes are impacting the area. This is reflected in Mike Anastasia’s interview during Sotheby’s recent press release, when he said, “The sale of 801 Turkey Run Road continues the upward trend for luxury home sales in the Washington Metropolitan Region.”
