Interview with Bill Davis of the The Bill Davis Team, Century 21 New Millennium

Can you give us a little bit of background regarding the purchase of the home by Robert Griffin III (RG3), for example, when did it happen and are there any key known factors that led to RG3’s purchase? My clients purchased this home in May of 2013.  We began their home search in Great Falls and McLean where we looked at many resale homes.  Robert was strongly encouraged by his upper management to purchase something in Great Falls or McLean for its location, but most of the homes that we viewed together required a lot of updating and my client did not want to be responsible for undertaking an extensive home renovation project.  We extended our search back to Loudoun County, where Robert previously lived, and viewed newer homes that offered the features that my clients were looking for within the price range that they were comfortable in. They were looking for the higher quality features in a custom built home.  Their wish-list items, such as a pool and a large Master Bedroom with elegant closet were an added bonus.  We were able to negotiate with the builder of their home to install a custom pool and pool house with the purchase price of the home along with a luxury closet that most of us could only dream of complete with high-end cabinetry and shelving.  Since the time that the Buyers purchased this home, two additional members of the Redskins organization have also purchased in Creighton Farms because of the incredibly high quality products their builders offer and the unique atmosphere that Creighton Farms provides its community members.

Are there unusual parameters involved when working with a client having such a high level of popularity?  Maintaining the client’s privacy throughout the transaction is certainly the most important parameter to respect. That goes for all clients, not just one with a high level of popularity.  However, when working with a higher profile client you do come in contact with a lot of people who want to know the ins-and-outs of the transaction.  It’s imperative to keep details of their transaction secure so that the client can rest assured that their privacy is maintained.  

With any client or customer, we try to tailor our availability to show houses to their schedule.  In this case, we were able to view houses mostly in the early evenings and on weekends in order to work around our client’s needs.

Robert was and will continue to be surrounded by many individuals who have his best interest in mind.  As his REALTOR, it was my job to match the home to his specifications and to help him buy in a community that would provide good value.

What separates the community of the home and Leesburg, generally speaking, in desirability relative to other homes and communities in the DC metro area? Creighton Farms is a private, gated club community that offers a serene, horse-country lifestyle with all the convenience of city life just a short drive away.
